Mike Tyson with a then infant Exodus.
I was very saddened to learn Mike Tyson’s 4-year-old daughter, Exodus, passed away yesterday after a tragic accident in her home. I had truly hoped the baby would pull through the ordeal, but very much like a few other shocking cases this year, God had the final word and His Word is what matters most. Exodus’ family is in my prayers that God will heal them through all this. I also pray for Mike Tyson– that despite the media keeps throwing up the dirt of his troubled past every there is mention of the untimely demise of his precious baby girl, that he knows he did not deserve any of this. It was indeed an accident that could have happened to anybody. Including Britney. Mike Tyson is the best dad he knows how to be — considering he grew up without one and had a beginning that was supposed to be met with an end a long time ago according to some.
What exactly do they want? Can’t they get it straight yet?
Okay World — California upheld Proposition 8. Are you surprised? Why? They voted! Personally, I still believe marriage should only be between a man and a woman — but let’s face facts here. Gays have been getting married since the beginning of time. Who you ask? Let’s scroll through history for a momeng: Alexander The Great, Cicero (and he was on the taboo end of the Taboo Stick), Elton John, George Michael, Phyllis Gates and Rock Hudson, Marlon Brando — the list goes on. So cut the crap, already. It’s not that you don’t have the right to get married. You have the right to get married — just not to someone of the same sex. Question: if two members of the same sex decide to get married — do they have to be gay? Would there be a GAY TEST to be sure? We already got rid of the pre-marital blood test . . . To be honest, I’m not judgmental on how people choose to live their lives. That’s between them and God. However, after seeing women and children suffering from AIDS transmitted to them because of a Down Low dad/husband, let’s not forget the epidemic going on in Africa, Haiti and our nation’s capital — Washington, D.C — I have a hard time sympathizing with so-called “gay marriage.” Look, not everything in life that many hold sacred can be a novelty.

I’m not much for any religion, but one of the smartest guys I ever met told me that he believed God takes the good ones first. I wish the entire Tyson family peace and the little one serenity.
